Different shapes of learning
Sometimes learning doesn't come from a book or classroom. Sometimes it comes from life. Watching the choices others make, the reactions they have and their interactions with the circumstances in their life. I am reminded today that not only am I learning but those who watch me are learning. My children in particular. Our children learn more from the way we handle things than the way we tell them to handle things. We can be up front or we may lie or withhold information but they will eventually know and what will they learn then. Will it be better or worse than what they could or should have learned now? I guess I should be thankful for experience that reminded me of this important life lesson. I wish for my children that they can learn from these things without feeling the pain.
